Practice Labs at the 2015 CompTIA Academy Educator and Learning Partner Conference

As one of the newest CompTIA partners, Practice Labs was privileged to attend and exhibit at the 2015 CompTIA Academy Educator and Learning Partner Conference in Chicago.

The purpose of the conference was to provide a learning forum for academic, training and business partners. CompTIA provided a robust agenda packed with insight from industry experts on the future of IT learning. They also provided many opportunities to network with peers and other partners who are looking to improve their learning experience.

IDC presented an overview on the impact CompTIA certifications have on employee performance and the organizations they work for. CompTIA had several sessions on the changes to A+ and product updates. CompTIA also brought in two experts; John Dvorak, a CTO and former FBI expert to talk about security trends, and Gina London, an Emmy award winner who reminded us that we need the human educator as they provide the connection and motivation for learning.

Ricky Doyle, a Director of Practice Labs sat on a panel that discussed the evolution of learning content. The panel consisted of publishers and training providers. The dialog from all of the panel members focused on the change in learning from reading to providing true hands on experience for IT learners.

As an exhibitor Practice Labs was able to demonstrate our real world hands-on labs and how they reinforce learning, prepare people for certification and provide real world experience. Those attendees that visited with us saw the value they could provide to their learners over basic test prep and simulations.

We look forward to being in Orlando in 2016 for the next CompTIA Academy Educator and Learning Partner Conference.
